Time to let go? Nah...

I find myself holding back tears in grocery stores when I see a mama toting 3+ children around, some in the cart, some following along making irritating snack suggestions. I just REMEMBER this so clearly...it was only a moment ago. Now, with all 4 of mine in their 20s, I hurt for those moments that at the time seemed so trivial. Truly, I think it's God's grace that before they finally settle on a career, location, spouse or anything else that takes them away permanently, they tend to boomerang back. And I have NO problem with that. When they wander into the kitchen asking if there’s dinner, I’m never offended, just thrilled to have another hour to enjoy them. If it wasn’t slightly unhealthy, they could literally live with me their whole lives if they wanted to! As they start to settle into their adult lives, I can only do two things: focus on enjoying life with my sweet husband and GET READY FOR GRANDKIDS!!! So…my point is, if you have young children, pleeeease savor every one of these magical moments with them because even simple events and daily life with them lasts only a minute.
